Briarwood defeats Ramsay 32-14

by

The Briarwood Christian Lions won their fifth game in a row, dominating the second half in a 32-14 win over Ramsay.

Victor Jerald led the lions with a touchdown, a two-point conversion, and 91 yards on 16 carries.  Quarterback Walker Lott passed for two touchdowns and rushed for one more as the Lions' field general.

The Briarwood defense continued its remarkable 2013 season.  After giving up two touchdowns in the second half, the tenacious Briarwood defense shut out Ramsay after intermission.

For the entire season, Briarwood's opponents have scored only a meager 72 points.  The entire Briarwood defense has twice been named Players of the Week by 280 Living.

Brayden Housel scored the game's only second half touchdown for the Lions' offense, which was completely balanced with 226 yards rushing and 212 yards passing.

Next week, Briarwood (6-2) puts its undefeated home record on the line as it hosts traditional rival John Carroll.
