Chelsea athletes accept college scholarships

Football player Josh Pugh and softball player Caiti Davis were honored at Chelsea High School's National Signing Day ceremony Feb. 5.

Davis signed with Andrew College and Pugh signed with Miles College.

"I just want to thank all of you for being here," Pugh said.  "It's a blessing, and I love every one of you. I really want to thank my football brothers. It's been a lovely three years, and I just want to thank all of you again. I will always remember this team, my coaches and the athletic director Coach [Michael] Stallings." 

Stallings was there to congratulate the two players on behalf of the entire athletic department. Coaches touched on the hard work and dedication both students put into their sport, and emphasized how those qualities helped Pugh and Davis accomplish this goal.
