For three quarters, Chelsea and Stanhope Elmore played an epic game that promised to go down to the wire.

Only, it didn’t.

A fourth quarter barrage of scoring of 20 points propelled the Mustangs to a 48-26 win over the Chelsea Hornets.

Austin Washington continued his outstanding 2013 campaign for the Hornets, with 100 yards rushing and a touchdown.  Quarterback Trent Hagin tossed a 27-yard scoring pass to Taylor Martindale, and rushing touchdowns were added by Aki Coles and A.J. Jones.

Next week, Chelsea returns home for a clash against Tarrant.
