Oak Mountain High School boys soccer coach Dan DeMasters will hold his fourth annual Dynamic Development Summer Soccer Camp June 26-30 at OMHS. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 12, and it will feature instruction from players and coaches with experience at the college and semi-professional levels.

The weeklong session runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration costs are $230 for traditional campers and $250 for elite campers who desire an advanced curriculum. The price of registration includes a camp T-shirt and Nike soccer ball.

DeMasters said his camp, which is open to players of all skill levels, blends discipline and fun. He said he aims for attendees to acquire a refined skillset and love for the game.

“We want to make them have an experience that is unique, different and special,” DeMasters said. “If we can pass on energy, knowledge, fun and discipline to younger generations, I think that’s going to help them.”

DeMasters recently led the Oak Mountain boys soccer team to its third consecutive Class 7A state title. His Eagles were named the No. 1 team in the country by USA Today in 2016 after totaling a 28-0-2 record. As a result, DeMasters was named the Alabama High School Athletic Association Coach of the Year. He played collegiately at Villanova University and, in high school, was tabbed the 2003 Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year.
