280 Living Players of the Week

280 Living has named Austin Washington as Chelsea's Player of the Week for his performance against Stanhope Elmore.

Washington continued his outstanding 2013 campaign for the Hornets, with 100 yards rushing and a touchdown.

This week, Washington leads the Hornets as they host the clash with Tarrant High School.

The entire Briarwood Christian Lions defense has been named by 280 Living as the Players of the Week for the shutout win, 29-0, over Shelby County.

At halftime, the score was a 6-0 Briarwood lead, and the defense held Shelby County scoreless as the offense stepped up and scored 23 points after intermission.

Next week, the Lions will look to extend their winning ways at Gardendale, where they will face a Rockets team reeling from its loss to Vestavia Hills.
