Hornets boys upset Albertville

The Chelsea Hornets boys basketball team is headed to the Class 6A regional semifinals at Jacksonville.

Aaron Washington scored 24 points -- eight coming in the final two minutes of overtime -- as the Hornets knocked off ninth-ranked Albertville 82-77 in overtime.

David Simpson added 19 points and Darrell Foster and Joseph Lanzi chipped in 11 apiece for Chelsea (16-15).

Chelsea will face Woodlawn on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Northeast Regional semifinals at Pete Mathews Coliseum at Jacksonville State.
