The Oak Mountain Eagles fell short of an important victory against Prattville, losing 28-21 to the Lions.

Prattville's star running back Kamryn Pettway, a verbal commitment to play for the Auburn Tigers, ran for two third quarter touchdowns to give the Lions a lead they would not surrender.

Lloyd Shader led the Oak Mountain offense in the close game, scoring one touchdown himself.

Next week, the Eagles host Thompson High School.
