Shutout earns 280 Living honors for Briarwood defense

The Briarwood Christian Lions pitched its second shutout in three weeks, dominating Talladega 23 - 0 for an important win against a region opponent and earning Players of the Week honors from 280 Living.

The suffocating Lions defense was led by Travis Hightower, who returned a fumble for a touchdown to provide the game’s only first half score.  Blythe Woods and Victor Jerald caught touchdown passes for the Lions.

Briarwood (4-2, 3-1) puts its outstanding region record on the line against Chilton County.
