Vicki Taylor - Elite Boutique
Even after five years in business, Elite Boutique continues to change and improve.
“We’re growing and changing so much,” said owner Vicki Taylor. “We have just brought in a line for tween clothing, and there is such a need for that in the area.”
Her store, which is located “right in the middle of it all” on Valleydale Road, provides a convenient spot to shop for a gift or new outfit.
As a small business owner, Taylor said she faces obstacles — including the growing popularity of online shopping — but the welcoming atmosphere of her store helps combat that.
“[It’s] that personal connection that you get at a small store that you don’t get even at a department store,” Taylor said. “I think that’s one of our biggest things.”
If people enter the store in a bad mood, Taylor said they always leave with a smile on their face. In addition to their great customer service, Taylor is proud to provide high-quality, fashionable clothing at a good price.
While some boutiques can be intimidating or feel unapproachable, Elite Boutique is a welcoming store and she encourages people to stop by. “Just to step outside their box and come in and give us a try,” she said. “We are so friendly. I don’t know anyone who has walked in and left upset or they couldn’t find something they could wear or use.”
