to
Indian Springs Town Hall 2635 Cahaba Valley Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35124
Embellishments, Birmingham’s seven-octave handbell ensemble under the direction of Phyllis S. Kirk, presents their Spring concert “Americana.” Each of the musical selections, including familiar favorites, such as Csárdás arranged by Toshikazu Yoshida and Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in C# Minor, as well as some American classics, such as Moonlight Serenade, Little Brown Jug, and In the Mood, will portray the historic journey of an immigrant traveling through Ellis Island. New and innovative handbell techniques will be demonstrated, and they will conclude the concert with Chris Peck’s arrangement of American Salute, which is classified as the highest level of performance difficulty. Free admission. Learn more about us at www.Embellishments.org.
