Q: What type of services and/or products do you offer?
A: In addition to our general dental services, AC Dentistry provides smile makeovers, full-mouth rehabilitations, smile enhancements, Invisalign orthodontics, veneers, crowns, tooth colored fillings, root canals, extractions, cold sore laser therapy, whitening and deep periodontal cleanings.
Q: What wants or problems does AC Dentistry provide a solution to?
A: At AC Dentistry, we want to help you achieve and maintain a healthy smile that gives you confidence while providing a very relaxed calm environment, which will hopefully change the way you think about the visiting a dentist office.
Q: Dr. Cotant, how long have you been in business or practicing?
A: I have been practicing dentistry for four years, and we opened AC Dentistry in 2019.
Q: Please describe your educational and experiential background.
A: I hold a bachelor’s degree in biology from Huntingdon College and received a doctorate of dental medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Dentistry.
Q: What is your benchmark for success?
A: I want every patient to leave with hopefully an improved perception of “going to the dentist” than when they first came through our doors.
Q: What is your approach or philosophy to customer service?
A: My approach to customer service is getting to know patients on a personal level to establish a relationship built on trust. We want to have their best interest at heart, so being open and honest with each patient is key.
Q: How is AC Dentistry adjusting its operations and/or services to comply with COVID-19 safety measures?
A: We are doing everything we can to make sure we create the cleanest and safest environment possible for patients.
Patients are instructed to call the office upon their arrival and wait in their car for us to come get them. At that time, we discuss a COVID-19 questionnaire with the patient and record their temperature. Patients are then escorted to the patient restroom to rinse with a strong anti-bacterial mouth rinse and wash their hands before being taken to the treatment rooms.
We thoroughly sanitize and disinfect every room in between patients, and we are continuously washing our hands and changing our personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep everything as clean and sterile as possible.
Q: Autumn and cooler weather will be right around the corner. What, if any, seasonal advice or tips would you like to share with potential patients?
A: Remember that some insurance benefits roll over in October, so make sure not to let benefits that you’ve already paid for go to waste.
Q: What do you most want potential patients to know about you and AC Dentistry?
A: It is our desire at AC Dentistry to simply show that we care for our patients. My staff and I want to help each and every one of our patients achieve the healthiest and best looking smile possible, while making our patients feel comfortable. We want you to feel like we are family.
