For over 35 years, Faye Nichols Test Preparation and Consulting has provided guidance and support to thousands of students as they strive to reach their ACT or SAT potential.
Nichols said, “Students have different levels of skill mastery, learning abilities, and learning styles. Therefore, we offer an individualized program of ACT test prep which includes pre-class and post-class recommendations through different levels of the Comprehensive course, tutoring, and the next level Ultimate course. This individualized approach allows us to guide each student successfully through the ACT journey.”
High school students pursuing college admission often need guidance as they study and prepare for standardized testing. Faye Nichols, the owner and director of Faye Nichols Test Preparation and Consulting, recognized this need while teaching at a community college and seeing the discrepancy in students’ grades and standardized test scores.
When Nichols’ passion for teaching and students’ need for guidance converged, Faye Nichols Test Preparation and Consulting was born.
This program equips students with skills needed to reach or exceed their ideal test scores and be accepted to their dream colleges. Comprehensive courses, workshops, and private tutoring are available to students as they work toward achieving their goals. These options are available in-person and online to accommodate students’ busy schedules. Even students who aren’t local to Birmingham can take the online courses offered.
The exceptional teachers at Faye Nichols are experts in coaching students through the ACT process. “My coaches and I love spending time with students, reviewing to fill in skill gaps, and introducing subject test-taking strategies. We know that these skills, as well as the critical thinking and reading skills we teach will be invaluable for college and all future academic pursuits,” Nichols said.
Nichols’ team inspires students to achieve their individual goals, whether that’s reaching admissions scores or reaching the perfect score of 36.
“Many parents have said that my individualized program and/or the personal attention we gave changed the lives of their students, especially those who needed to prove they could reach a significant goal and those who needed scholarships and other funding for college,” Nichols said.
