At Monark Grove Greystone, seniors enjoy beautifully designed living spaces, luxurious amenities and a choice of assisted living, independent living or memory care. But Monark Grove is more than just a nice residence for people in their golden years
“It’s a vibrant, engaging community where seniors can truly thrive,” says Tara Bailey, director of sales and marketing. “Monark Grove has a warmth and sense of belonging that makes our community feel like home.”
Monark Grove’s mission is simple. “We provide a place where seniors can live with purpose, dignity and joy,” Tara says. “We’re proud to offer not just a place to live, but a place to truly belong.”
Monark Grove offers an all-inclusive lifestyle, personalized care, chef-prepared meals and a full calendar of social events and wellness programs. The community is a great place for seniors to escape the responsibilities of home ownership and enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, while still having any support they need.
Mary Joan Green moved to Monark Grove in 2025 after living alone in her home in Greystone. “That was lonesome,” Mary Joan says. “Even though I had a church family and grown children who greatly supported me, I knew I needed people, activities, food preparation, fellowship and medical support, and I found it at Monark Grove. With each passing day, I began to blossom. I grew healthier, happier and involved in activities. It became my extended family.”
“Our residents say they feel safe, supported and truly cared for, and many wish they had made the move sooner,” Tara says. “Families tell us they have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are happy and safe.”
RELAX AND ENJOY LIFE
Living at Monark Grove allows residents to relax and enjoy their lives. “I don’t have to worry about home repairs or replacement of appliances,” says Norma Shew, who moved to Monark Grove in 2024 after living in Vinemont for 60 years. “I’m also closer to doctors, stores and restaurants.”
“Life is absolutely easier now,” Mary Joan says. “Meals are provided. Your laundry is done for you. There are housekeeping services. And I don’t worry about gas or new tires.”
“It’s hassle-free to live here because there’s no food preparation, apartment cleaning or yard work,” says Ken Mooney, who has a roomy two-bedroom apartment.
Monark Grove Greystone offers studios and one- andtwo-bedroom apartments with individual heating and cooling systems, granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances andin-home washers and dryers.
The community’s attentive staff makes settling into that new home even easier. “The staff is very attentive and friendly,” Ken says. “The waiters at meals seek to please even when your requests may be a little out of the ordinary.”
“The staff is very approachable and accommodating,” Norma says.
ACTIVITIES FOR EVERYONE
Residents enjoy lots of activities at Monark Grove. “Our dedicated staff goes above and beyond to create meaningful connections and memorable experiences for residents every day — from themed events and outings to fitness and enrichment activities,” Tara says.
“The Director of Life Enrichment organizes daily activities that foster social interaction and enjoyment,” Ken says. “There’s a movie in the theater each weekend night and entertaining special guests every Friday afternoon.”
“I enjoy the Bible studies and church services that are provided,” Norma says. “I play cards and Scrabble and work jigsaw puzzles in the game room, and I enjoy the pool and library.”
“We’re more than a senior living community — we’re a family,” Tara says. “Our team builds genuine relationships with residents, taking the time to understand their stories, preferences and passions.”
Monark Grove also has lovely surroundings. “It’s inviting to walk the landscape and look at nature,” Norma says. “I feed the wild birds and hummingbirds and love the windchimes.”
FRIENDSHIP AND COMMUNITY
Perhaps the best aspect of life at Monark Grove is the chance to make new friends. “I enjoy spending time with folks at lunch, and I have a close friend with whom I can share almost anything,” Ken says.
“There’s fun, laughter and a lot of new friends to be made,” says Mary Joan, who serves as an ambassador at Monark Grove. “I get to welcome new residents and take them around.”
“Living at Monark has been a blessing for me,” Ken says.
“You’ll be so pleased,” Mary Joan says. “Come on! We’re waiting for you.”
