The new freestanding Brookwood emergency room will begin treating patients on Nov. 30.
A press release from Brookwood's marketing office stated that the $19 million development will hold two events prior to the opening so that the public will be able to see the emergency room's facilities.

The release stated that Brookwood expects to treat 10,000-15,000 patients each year.
