The 9th annual Fire at the Foothills event was held Saturday afternoon at Chelsea City Hall. The event benefits the Chelsea Kiwanis Club and Chelsea Fire and Rescue.
At one of the city's largest events of the year, attendees sampled barbecue and chili and enjoyed music from KOOL 96.9 and children's activities.
The winners of the barbecue competition were: Puck Daddy's BBQ (3rd), Red Bones BBQ (2nd) and Leela Q (1st).
The ribs winners were: Perfectly Blended BBQ (3rd), Red Bones BBQ (2nd) and Puck Daddy's BBQ (1st). The top two both received a special pin for scoring a 180.
For pork, Right on Q (3rd), Puck Daddy's BBQ (2nd) and Leela Q (1st place).
Team Spirit won the People's Choice Award and raised $538 in tips.
The grand champion for Fire at the Foothills went to Puck Daddy's BBQ, winning $800, a trophy and a Swiss Army knife set.
