Oak Mountain State Park will offer a hands-on nature journaling program Saturday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center.
“Field Notes & Forest Finds: Nature Journaling” invites participants to slow down, observe closely and connect more deeply with the outdoors. During the relaxed session, attendees will learn simple techniques for recording observations of plants, animals, weather and landscapes using words, sketches and creative prompts.
The program is designed for all experience levels — whether you’re a budding artist, an aspiring naturalist or simply looking for a mindful way to spend time outside. No art experience is required; participants are encouraged to bring curiosity and a willingness to explore.
The program will take place at the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center, and it’s free with the cost of park admission.
