Highway 11 in Chelsea is closed due to a pine straw fire across the road from 280 Medical Supply on Old Highway 280. The road between Old Highway 280 and County Road 337, also known as Mountain Crest Road, was closed by Shelby County Sheriff's Office deputies around 3:35 p.m.
Chelsea Fire and Rescue and Cahaba Valley Fire are on the scene. The Sheriff's Office asks drivers to detour around Highway 11 at this time.
