Taste of Shelby County is returning for its 18th year on Sept. 10 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Inverness Country Club.
“This event is a favorite because of its relaxed casual atmosphere,” said Executive Director of the Shelby County Schools Education Foundation and Taste of Shelby County organizer Bethany Ivey. “It is a more casual event where everyone mixes and mingles and comes and goes. With so many choices of restaurants, people casually make their way around the room and enjoy all the delicious food from our vendors.”
In 2025, there were roughly 300 guests who attended the event.
The annual celebration connects the school district and the community together as attendees enjoy tastings from area restaurants and vendors while supporting the Shelby County Schools Education Foundation.
There are roughly 20 restaurants, beverage vendors and bakeries that bring samples for attendees to try as samples from menus.
Many of the vendors at the event have been to the event for at least the last three years.

There is an early bird discount available for anyone interested in purchasing their tickets online before the event.
Tickets are available for $50, while tickets purchased at the door and VIP tickets are $60 and $75, respectively.
