The medical center on Highway 280 remains vacant.
Birmingham-based Trinity Medical Center is hosting a job fair on Thursday, June 25 at the Marriott Hotel for those interested in working at the Grandview Medical Center under construction on U.S. 280.
The job fair will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Marriott, 3590 Grandview Parkway just off U.S. 280. Trinity is to relocate from its current location on Montclair Road to the new Grandview Medical Center when it opens in October.
Available job openings include medical and surgical nurses, medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, clinicians and registration staff. More details on the job fair are available at trinitymedicalonline.com.
Grandview Medical Center is the former digital hospital that Birmingham-based HealthSouth Corp. began building over a decade ago before legal issues led them to halt the project and put the building up for sale. Trinity Medical Center is a tertiary care hospital serving residents of Birmingham and surrounding communities. The hospital offers programs and services in all medical and surgical areas.
