Members of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary are getting ready for their annual “Purses and Auction” Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 22 at an area country club. Event chair is Donna Willis.
The purse auction, chaired by Aletha Watley, will include over 180 new and gently used purses, some designer and many unique. The silent auction, chaired by Carol Medders, will include gift certificates to area restaurants, theater venues, golf courses, beach condo and businesses, as well as jewelry and decor. A Buy-It-Now Booth, chaired by Kathy Norden, will include lots of new and gently used items at great prices.
Doors will be open for the auction and shopping from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Local and nationally known storyteller, Dolores Hydock will entertain with stories of “Southern Comfort in a Cast-Iron Skillet”.
