St. Francis Music Academy is offering partial scholarships for students enrolling in the 2017 spring and summer semesters.
SFMA has members of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and other professional musicians from around the globe, and the academy is open to students of all ages. It also offers music instruction in piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, flute, guitar and harp, as well as chamber music, choral instruction, music theory and musicianship. There are also family classes, called Music Together, designed for parents, grandparents and caregivers with children up to 5 years old.
SFMA operates as an extension of the music ministry of The Episcopal Church of St. Francis of Assisi, under the direction of Alina Voicu, director of music. The academy also has monthly music corner activities that are free and open to the community.
For more information, go to saintfrancismusic.org or The Episcopal Church of St. Francis of Assisi at 3545 Cahaba Valley Road in Indian Springs.
