Five students from Oak Mountain High School and one from Chelsea High School were recently named as National Merit Finalists.
Finalists compete with all other Finalists in their state or selection unit for one of the 2,500 National Merit Scholarships. Winners are selected by a committee of college admission officers and high school counselors. National Merit Scholarships provide a single payment of $2,500.
