Two teams from Oak Mountain Middle School participated in the 2016 VEX Worlds championship in April after winning the state competition in March.
Two sixth-grade Oak Mountain Middle School robotics teams won a statewide championship March 12. The teams are led by Sherri Whitehead.
The Alabama State VEX IQ Championship was held at Jacksonville State University. The teams moved on to the 2016 VEX Worlds - VEX IQ Challenge Middle School Division, held April 20-23 in Louisville, Kentucky.
The teams are two of five Alabama teams going to the world competition, and OMMS is the only school with two teams going.
