Oak Mountain Middle School Knits for Veterans
One teacher is making a difference one stitch at a time. Oak Mountain Middle School students in the Family and Consumer Science Department are knitting quilts for the homeless veterans of Birmingham. Melinda Gargiulo says this project is multi curricular and hopes that it will leave a lasting impression on her students.
