Briarwood Baseball
Jake Morris will be one of Briarwood's key players this season.
Briarwood Christian School will host the annual Jay D. Kynerd Baseball Tournament to begin the high school baseball season, Feb. 15-18.
The tournament is held in memory of 1988 Briarwood Christian graduate Jay D. Kynerd at the field also named in his honor. Jay Kynerd is remembered as a committed follower of Christ, who God used to encourage others and show a legacy worthy of honor by his faith.
The tournament begins Monday, Feb. 15 and features varsity baseball teams from John Carroll, Oak Mountain, Ramsay and Briarwood. The schedule is as follows:
Monday, Feb. 15
2:00 - John Carroll vs Briarwood
4:00 - Oak Mountain vs Ramsay
Tuesday, Feb. 16
4:00 - Ramsay vs Briarwood
6:00 - John Carroll vs Oak Mountain
Wednesday, Feb. 17
