The Chelsea High School volleyball team picked up a pair of wins in its only contest of the week, sweeping Oxford and Jacksonville in a tri-match on Thursday at Oxford High School.
The Hornets won all four sets, beating Oxford 25-13, 25-20, and defeating Jacksonville 26-24, 25-20.
On the day, Lexie Riggins picked up 13 kills and 13 digs. Ashley Mock led the team with 19 assists. Taylor Hackett finished with 15 assists and 9 digs.
The wins improve the Hornets to 10-3 on the season.
Last week, Chelsea played a handful of hard-fought matches, including wins over McAdory (25-27, 25-15, 25-14, 25-17) and Clay-Chalkville (22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13) before losing to Enterprise and Thompson.
Chelsea will play Tuscaloosa County and Alexandria in a tri-match next Tuesday.
