Oak Mountain hosted and won the Shelby County Boys Basketball Tournament, defeating Thompson 55-42 on Saturday afternoon.
In the final, Will Stephenson racked up 19 points, thanks to four three-pointers., and five assists. Payton Youngblood scored eight points and ripped down seven rebounds. The Eagles improved to 9-5 on the season.
Thompson was led by Michael Freeman, who scored 15 points.
The Eagles took on Vincent in the semifinal round on Friday, and came away with a convincing 65-31 victory.
Gabe Haynes put together a solid all-around game for Oak Mountain, scoring 11 points, grabbing eight boards, and dishing our four assists.
Vincent's Stephen Campbell led the team with eight points.
Briarwood Christian and Chelsea also participated in the tournament.
