Decked Out Dash

The Arc of Jefferson County will hold its annual Decked Out Dash on Saturday, December 12th at Heardmont Park in Shelby County. The 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will start at 8am that day with registration on-site starting an hour prior. A carnival has been added to this event and includes a pancake breakfast, hot chocolate, photos with Santa, letters to Santa, Holiday face painting, cookie decorating, ornament crafting, reindeer games, holiday costume contest, Christmas karaoke, and a Frozen bounce house. Whether it’s a red and green tutu, a Santa hat, or a tacky Christmas sweater, come “decked out” in your most festive attire and join us!

Registration fees are $40 for the 5K and $15 for the one mile fun run. Tickets are $1 per person for the Carnival and $5 per plate for the pancake breakfast. Participants can register now by logging onto arcofjeff.org. All proceeds benefit The Arc of Jefferson County’s programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These include job placement programs, day activities and residential homes for adults and an early intervention program for children.
