to
Inverness Country Club 1 Country Club Drive, Birmingham, Alabama 35242
Hosted by the Inverness Racquet Club and Jerry Nixon, Tennis Pro, the annual event benefits the Alabama Head Injury Foundation (AHIF). Over the last 17 years the tournament has raised over $500,000 to help people with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Alabama Head Injury Foundation provides services and programs that support people in Alabama with Traumatic Brain Injury and their families. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is the number one cause of death and disability in children and young adults. Today, TBI is a common injury of veterans returning from war. Whether the injury is mild or severe, brain injury changes the person’s life and their family forever. AHIF is a life-long resource for people coping with brain injury and provides the information and programs needed to help survivors and their families understand the results of injury.
Tennis play begins Friday, May 3 followed by a reception at the Inverness Racquet Club. Men and Women's Doubles continue all day Saturday, May 4 with lunch at the Racquet Club. The tournament culminates Saturday night at the Inverness Country Club with cocktails, dinner and a silent auction. The jazzy duo of Goodfellows creates a jovial atmosphere and auction items such as a Barber's Porsche Experience make for lively bidding.
Anyone interested in supporting the Alabama Head Injury Foundation by attending the Saturday night dinner and silent auction, or for more information, call AHIF at 823-3818.
