Chou is originally from Taipei, Taiwan. She moved to The United States to pursue art in her late twenties. Her first introduction to the medium of clay was during her two years in the University of Arts in Philadelphia. She went on to receive her MFA in Ceramics from Kent State University. She currently teaches at Louisiana College and is now Assistant Professor of Art, and teaches all levels of ceramics classes as well as 3D design.
