Then The Funky Muffin should be your next stop. The first dedicated gluten-free place in Birmingham opened in early July.
It sells muffins, donuts, cookies, cakes, bread loafs, brownies and cinnamon rolls and is always willing to take suggestions for new baked goods.
The price ranges from donuts and cookies at $.50 to custom-made cakes at $30.
The bakery is off U.S. 280 at 4647-B Highway 280. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
