Sheriff-Elect John Samaniego was sworn in as Shelby County’s 53rd Sheriff on Jan. 10 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.

Circuit Judge Dan Reeves presiding over the event, swearing in Samaniego and re-affirming the oaths of the Sheriff’s Office deputies.
