For the third time in four games, the Briarwood Christian Lions have pitched a shutout, this time over Chilton County, 22-0.
The Lions only permitted the Chilton County offense to cross midfield once, and held the Tigers to a paltry 167 yards of total offense.
The suffocating defense was led by Ethan Simmons, who led the Lions with nine tackles and a 46-yard fumble recovery return.
The Briarwood offense was paced by Victor Jerald, who rushed for 132 yards on 18 carries.
The Lions, who are 3-0 at home and 2-2 on the road, travel to Ramsay this week for a stern test away from their own campus.
