Victor Jerald scored two touchdowns and the Briarwood defense pitched a shutout as the Lions dominated Shelby County, 29-0.
The first half was a defensive struggle, with the only score coming from a Will Edwards touchdown run. Briarwood took a 6-0 lead into intermission.
After halftime, the Lions broke the game open with both Vicor Jerald touchdowns, a 31-yard touchdown pass from Walker Lott to Braden Housel, and a 30-yard field goal.
Next week, the Lions will look to extend their winning ways at Gardendale, where they will face a Rockets team reeling from its loss to Vestavia Hills.
