Both the Oak Mountain High School Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer teams have advanced to the state’s Final Four and could earn a shot at the State title this weekend.
The Alabama High School Athletic Association state soccer semifinals are scheduled for Friday at John Hunt Soccer Complex in Huntsville. Championship games are scheduled for Saturday.
On Friday, May 10, the Oak Mountain girls team (21-3-2) is up against McGill-Toolen (16-9-4) at 6 p.m., and the boys team (20-2-1) will take on Murphy (20-3-2) at 8:15 p.m.
If the girls win, they will advance to face the winner of Mountain Brook (16-1-2) and Huntsville (18-3-1) in the championship game on Saturday, scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
The boys could face the winner of Vestavia Hills (27-1-1) and Sparkman (17-6). The boys title game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
